Jessie Pittard has always had a fascination with the drawn line, this has led her to the creation of whimsical narratives within her pieces whether they are made of clay or paper. All of her work is created by hand in her studio, she explores functional and non functional ceramics and print. She uses several different print transfer techniques during the making process including digital transfers, decals, relief prints, mono prints, collographs and dry points. Currently all her ceramics are made using high fired porcelainious stoneware which she forms using combination of wheel thrown, moulds and hand building allowing for a diversity of shapes and designs.
