Esther Schouten
Inspired by the local landscape, mesmerised by reflections and the texture of water, Esther paints landscapes in a style reminiscent of the Impressionists. Working mainly in oils she also explores portraits, nudes and still life compositions. Recent works examine the boundary between realistic and abstract subjects. Located adjacent to the State Park her studio has views of the surrounding bushland.
Esther has exhibited with various groups in Melbourne as well as Rotterdam and Hanoi. Her studio can be visited on appointment throughout the year and she accepts commissions..
